Have read about there being more Bernie diaries than Hillary diaries, which I guess is supposed to prove more people are for Bernie. I don't suppose it could be that more Bernie supporters feel it necessary to write diaries praising Bernie, for being the best choice for the Democratic nomination, but more importantly, for bashing Hillary.
Hillary Clinton has served as secretary of state, senator from New York, first lady of the United States, first lady of Arkansas, a practicing lawyer and law professor, activist, and volunteer—but the first thing her friends and family will tell you is that she’s never forgotten where she came from or who she’s been fighting for.
It seems people are questioning Hillary's “trustworthiness”, what with the Rethugs and all their digging and digging trying to find a scandal somewhere, anywhere so they can pin it on Hillary and demonize her. If Bernie gets the nomination, will the Rethugs devote as much time, which should be devoted to doing the job they were elected to do, or will they continue to spend millions of their own constituent's money digging for scandal to put on him, to make them look better?
Of course the Rethugs are the most “trustworthy” candidates even though they spend most of their valuable time, looking for ways to take benefits away from their constituents, instead of working with the Democrats to help make their constituent's life easier. Their constituents elected them to help pass legislation to help them, not take benefits away from them.
How many times have the Rethugs took a vote to defund Obamacare, even though it has given many of their own constituent's Health Insurance for the first time? It helped their constituents in so many ways. There were different things insurance companies could no longer do, such as Pre-Existing, no more lifetime caps, plus routine care was automatically covered. Routine care would be able to catch something, before it became a full blown condition. Children were able to stay on their parents policy until age 26. Their constituents would not have to worry so much about having to file Medical Bankruptcy and hospitals didn’t need to go bankrupt because of unpaid Emergency Room charges incurred by uninsured citizens.
Isn't it over 50 times now, the Rethugs have taken a vote to defund Obamacare, knowing President Obama will veto it and they won't have enough votes to over ride it? Hey this is more important than doing the job their own constituents elected them to do! That alone shows how much they care about the people who elected them to Congress.
Spending most of their time and constituent's money starting special investigations into ways to drag Hillary down. No matter how many times Benghazi is investigated, it still comes back to the fact she didn't do anything wrong. Many people, not just Hillary could have done things a lot better, but they learned from the mistakes which were made and have made changes.
Now the Rethugs latched on to the e-mail controversy trying to make it sound like because Hillary used her own personal server, while Secretary of State, she put the United States at a tremendous amount of risk concerning what was confidential or top secret and the danger it could be hacked into.
When she was Secretary of State, the government had not thought of personal e-mail accounts being used, to do government business, but have now made changes to make sure everyone uses government e-mail, for communication, so it can be better protected from being hacked and there will be a record of all the e-mails, which were sent or received.
Oh my gosh! Hillary gave speeches to Wall Street in the past, so now we want to know what were in those speeches! She was on the Board of Directors for Walmart, so somehow she agrees with what Walmart is doing and will protect them. She said one thing way back then, but now she says something else, so she is flip-flopping. I guess someone can't change their mind over the years.
Maybe Bernie supporters are not aware of what Hillary has accomplished in her lifetime so far.
After law school, Hillary didn’t join a big law firm in Washington or New York. Instead, she went to work for the Children’s Defense Fund, going door-to-door in New Bedford, Massachusetts, gathering stories about the lack of schooling for children with disabilities. These testimonials contributed to the passage of historic legislation that required the state to provide quality education for students with disabilities.
After serving as a lawyer for the congressional committee investigating President Nixon, she moved to Arkansas where she taught law and ran legal clinics representing disenfranchised people. She co-founded Arkansas Advocates for Children and Families, one of the state’s first child advocacy groups.
As first lady of Arkansas, she was a forceful champion for improving educational standards and health care access.
Bill was first elected president in 1992 and re-elected in 1996.
As first lady, Hillary tenaciously led the fight to reform our health care system so that all families would have access to the care they need at affordable prices. When the insurance companies and other special interests defeated that effort, Hillary didn’t give up. She worked with Republicans and Democrats to help create the successful Children's Health Insurance Program, which provides health coverage to more than 8 million children and has helped cut the uninsured rate for children in half.
This is one of the main reasons I like her. When President Obama and the Democrats began the work to create the ACA, he knew he had to get the Insurance Companies and others on board first, so they wouldn’t lobby against what they were trying to do. This is why I say you need to take baby steps and work toward single payer. Do you think he could have gotten single payer to go through, especially seeing all the obstructionism, from the Rethugs, who don’t really care about their own constituents, they only care about sabotaging anything President Obama and the Democrats try to accomplish for the American People.
Granted there are parts of the ACA, which need tweaking, but why haven’t the Rethugs worked with President Obama and the Democrats to make it even better, then slowly they can work toward single payer. What do they do, but bad mouth it and keep telling the people how bad it is and how they want to defund it. Even though people are seeing the benefits, from the ACA, they keep listening to the Rethugs and media pound it in their head how bad it is, until they believe it and agree it should be defunded. Of course the Rethugs don’t have a plan to replace it, they will think of that after they kill it!
In 1995, Hillary led the U.S. delegation to Beijing to attend the U.N. Fourth World Conference on Women, despite being told by some officials not to go. She gave a groundbreaking speech, declaring that“human rights are women's rights, and women's rights are human rights once and for all”—inspiring women around the world.
After the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, Hillary pushed the Bush administration to secure $20 billion to rebuild New York and fought to provide health care for responders who were at Ground Zero. Hillary worked across the aisle to expand TRICARE, giving members of the Reserves and National Guard and their families better access to health care
Let’s see! Hmmm…. what have the Rethugs tried to do, but cut funding to these first responders who are now seeing conditions manafest, where they will need more medical attention in the years to come. These first responders worked tirelessly trying to find people who are trapped and still alive along with trying to clean up the massive mess left behind.
When Congress wouldn't do enough for rural areas and small towns, Hillary didn’t back down. She launched an innovative partnership in New York with eBay and local colleges to provide small businesses with tech support, microloans, and training programs to sell their goods online. She helped expand broadband to remote areas of the state, and she launched Farm-to-Fork, an initiative to help New York farmers and producers sell their products to New York’s restaurants, schools, colleges, and universities.
When she came up short, she gave a powerful speech thanking her supporters and threw her support behind then-Senator Barack Obama. She campaigned hard to make sure there was a Democrat in the White House.
And when President Obama asked Hillary to serve as his secretary of state, she put aside their hard-fought campaign and answered the call to public service once again.
After eight years of Bush foreign policy, Hillary was instrumental in the effort to restore America’s standing in the world. Even former Republican Secretary of State Henry Kissinger said she “ran the State Department in the most effective way that I’ve ever seen.”
Seeing how bad things had gotten with foreign dignitaries, she worked to patch fences and created a better rapport with them, which will help her if she becomes President. Can you imagine what would happen, if Trump or any Rethug would be elected. Think of how much damage they could do and do very quickly.

She built a coalition for tough new sanctions against Iran that brought them to the negotiating table and she brokered a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas that ended a war and protected Israel's security. She was a forceful champion for human rights, internet freedom, and rights and opportunities for women and girls, LGBT people, and young people all around the globe.
