So, what about these internet providers and their advertising, which they promote?

I have noticed recently, when I had Centurylink, as a homepage, they were a lot worse with ads on their homepage. With them, I would be watching Neflix, or reading a news story and if I had their homepage still up, with another tab, all of a sudden, some advertising audio would start blaring, in the background, while trying to listen to the audio, of the movie.

It was especially bad, when "Snotty Walker" was running for president, it would just start blaring, without me even clicking on his ad, trying to talk me into voting for him.  The only problem is hell didn’t freeze over yet!

I had switched from Centurylink, as a homepage, to an MSN homepage, so now whenever I want to listen to a video, I have to adjust the sound to actually play it, which is nice.

I recently changed Internet Providers, when our local cable company offered 50 mg broadband, for $49.95, for a year and includes basic cable, the local TV channels.   I have had it, since June 1st, and have noticed it is much faster than what I had, with Centurylink, which was also supposed to be Broadband!

It irritated me that Centurylink, had their basic charge, then also had broadband broken out, making it look like they were charging me extra, for broadband, instead of including it in the monthly charge!  It was irritating, to look at their bill and see all the charges, which were broken out of their monthly charge.

I have had 50 meg broadband internet and basic cable, the local TV stations, now since June 1st and can’t believe how much faster it is and the fact my MSN homepage even works a lot better!  Our cable provider is a newer company, fairly small, which had bought quite a bit of northern Wisconsin and Upper Michigan territory from Charter, when they filed bankruptcy and sold a lot of their territory.

So far our cable company, Packerland Broadband, is small enough and young enough, to kind of care about their customers.  From what I hear from some of the people here in the building, their Customer Service isn’t very good, but I had them before and was satisfied with them, even though I never had to contact their Customer Service.

When I had Centurylink, they were charging me $104 a month, just for internet,  while with Packerland Broadband, I have internet and basic cable. I had them before and was satisfied with it and liked it, because they included basic cable, the local TV channels, along with the internet.  I got nothing extra with Centurylink, aside from a higher bill!

I just recently changed to Packerland Broadband, so will have a cheaper deal, at least for a year, but even then, I know it is not going to be near as much as Centurylink.  I have noticed a huge increase in the quality of the internet and even in the way my MSN homepage is working.

I had donated money to different causes and Democratic candidates, through Daily KOS, but now am bombarded with so many e-mails from them, especially at the end of the month, in their final fund raising push.

I want to donate, to Daily KOS and Act Blue and maybe some of the other Democratic candidates, but when I try to unsubcribe from the ones I don’t want, sometimes it wants to block e-mails, from Daily KOS, which I enjoy.

I like to keep up with what is happening, from a Democratic view point and hear about all the idiotic things the Rethugs are doing, which is totally amazing!  I have gone in and unsubscribed to individual Democratic candidate's e-mail, which helps for a while, but then it is back to normal.

At least with G-mail, it separates my regular e-mail, social e-mail and then what they call the Promotion e-mails.  I will glance through there to see, if there is anything I want to transfer, to my regular e-mail, then choose all and delete all of them.

G-mail does an excellent job of weeding out spam and if I run across any that are spam, I indicate it is spam and they include that, in the ones they block.  It is just amazing how many e-mails are blocked as spam, every day!

I like to donate every once in a while, but I just don’t have the income to donate to so many individual ones.  I also sign and donate to some of the petitions, from certain areas, but then I begin receiving plenty of e-mail from them and others asking for donations.  I also have received more regular mail, from the Post Office, asking for donations and memberships etc.

I still get a lot of e-mails from different areas, where I donated, wanting more donations, but I just can't keep doing that, since I really don't have enough money to do a whole lot, so would rather just donate to DAILY KOS & ACT Blue, where they help all of the Democratic candidates.  I try to help as many as I can, especially, when it comes to petitions, but then I am unable to donate all the time, or at least not at this time.
