How can anyone think “Mr Orange" would make a great President, considering how vulgar he is. Will he be able to get along with other world leaders, or will he start World War III? I read, where there is a rumor, if he is nominated, some in the Republican Party, will leave and start a new party, independent of the current Republicans.
How can you rely on the polls, when you end up with so many radical extremists, here in the United States, who don't have a clue as to how the Presidency or even Government works and how a radical, such as “Mr Orange"would drag the United States further down?
How can you trust polls, when “Mr Orange" is out their stirring up all the racists, bigots and haters. How can the polls be trusted, when the Republicans, ever since President Obama was elected, have continued to pound it in people's heads, how bad they have it, regardless of how good they actually have it, but don't see it. When they keep pounding it in everyone’s head how bad President Obama is, no matter how many good things him and the Democrats have given us?
After continually berating President Obama and feeding the haters in America, how can we get those voters to stand back, look at the big picture, and see how much good he has accomplished, when the Republicans are out their pounding it in their heads day after day, how bad he is and how bad off everyone is? My Bad! You need to have the capability of thinking for yourself and not letting someone tell you how bad you have it!
The people don't seem to see what the Republicans are doing to them and how they are always trying to undo all of their new benefits, which the President and Democrats have gotten for them. They could not care in the least, how much their elected officials are trying to take away from them! Just blindly follow, assuming they have your best interests in mind.
Republicans don't want to work with the Democrats to tweak the bad parts of the ACA, to make it work better, unlike when they introduced Medicare Part D and the Democrats worked with them, to fix the flaws in it, to make it better and help those of us, who need expensive prescription coverage.
Do any Republicans care how many people or hospitals have to file bankruptcy, because of all the medical bills? Do they care how many people have to file bankruptcy and lose all they had accumulated over the years, because of medical bills? Do they care if many of their constituency end up homeless on the street or die, for lack of medical care?
Do they care, if the big banks create products, to draw in those with poor credit to give them money, then charge them worse than a loan shark would to pay them back? Do they care, if the big banks encourage them to borrow more, to get a much bigger house than they need, then when things fall through foreclose on their home and take it away from them!
PREDATORY LOAN LENDERS: Pay day loans
I borrowed $300, from a Pay Day loan store, which was really idiotic, thinking I would be able to pay them back. I knew how bad they were and had scolded a friend, who would only pay the minimum and keep rolling it over.
Pay Day loan store reasoning is, they charge a “fee”, not “interest” mind you, even though interest is the cost of someone loaning you money. The cost of them loaning you money, of course, is somehow better because it is only a “fee”. Their fee makes it possible for you to avoid several checks bouncing.
At first it was only going to be once a month, which I foolishly though I would be able to handle. I had been living on the edge all my life, trying to beat checks back to the bank, to avoid overdrafts.
At that time the Credit Union I was with, wouldn't give me overdraft protection, because I was too much of a risk! Huh? Instead of giving me a loan, overdraft fee protection, which I would use, during the month, then repay, when my Social Security check came in, they would rather let checks bounce and charge me overdraft fees, which they would take out of my account immediately, which would then cause other checks to bounce and so forth and so forth!
The reason I wanted overdraft protection was to prevent having so many overdrafts. Many of the checks I wrote, were less than $25, because I didn’t carry a lot of money on me. I tried to beat them back to the bank, hoping the money would be there, when they arrived.
When several small checks came in, they would charge me for each one that bounced, even if it was only for $5! Of course, when they charge you an overdraft fee, it automatically comes out of your account, making your account that much more in the red, so when other checks come in, they will bounce too, creating more fees and it goes on and on and on.
I had one bank, where I knew I was overdrawn, so made a deposit on Saturday, to cover any checks, which came might come in on Saturday. Of course they didn't record the deposit, until Monday, so they could bounce several small checks, which came in on Saturday, which would have been covered if the money had been put on my account right away. Their excuse was my deposit didn’t get recorded until Monday, but it was okay to accept checks and bounce them on Saturday! How nice!
I closed my account there, even though I got a nice toaster, for opening the account. That is one expensive damn toaster! At least it is still working!
In theory, paying a payday loan place outrageous fees sounds okay, but then they suck you in, because they know it's not going to be a one time thing and you will keep on doing it, dragging yourself deeper into the quagmire of “Predatory Loan Lender” hell.
If I would have stuck with the original plan, using my Social Security check, only borrowing $300, it would have been $75 per month, which I would have been able to handle and pay it off right away. But then I made the mistake of borrowing a little more, to keep some checks from bouncing. Of course, the money I borrowed, didn't make it in there on time and the checks bounced anyway!
I now had to use my bi-weekly check, from my part time job, as collateral, which meant they would charge me twice a month, instead of once. Since they charged me $25, per $100 and my loan was now $500, I was supposed to pay $125 each time I paid them. I paid them $250, to loan me $500, for one month! How generous and helpful of them!
Although they pay their employees extremely well, I don’t think the employees really know sometimes how to work the so-called loans, but if I’m dumb enough to do it, they’re smart enough to take advantage of me.
It was too late, now that I was in their quagmire, but I resolved not to pay them a dime more and haven't. I still owe them $516, I think, but they haven't come after me for it, so it probably went off my credit report by now.
Overdrafts, and fees, cost me a lot of money in the '90's and early 2000's, which made it even more difficult for me to make ends meet! It was much easier, once I was able to get a debit card, have my account online and be able to keep track of it a lot better.
It was bad enough the bank charged you an overdraft fee, but then they would take it out of your account right away, which would make your account that much more in the red and cause more checks to bounce. It was okay, if it was 1 large check, which had bounced, but I wrote out quite a few smaller ones, which really added up.
I had another bank, where I borrowed $500, for veterinary services. They advertised at the veterinarian office, so thinking they were helping those of us who didn't have enough money, when it came to our pets, I fell for it.
It's nice they give you a certain length of time to pay it off, interest free, but you have to make sure the money gets there before the due date or they charge you $39.99 for a late fee. I never borrowed over the $500, once it got to that point I couldn't charge any more, but they could still charge me fees.
No matter what I did, I just couldn't get ahead of it. I thought I had paid, on time, and I made sure, with the finance charge it would be under the $500, but it turned out I was late, so they charged me $39.99, then because their fee & finance charge put me over the $500 limit, they also charged me $39 for an over the limit fee. It was their fee, which put me over the limit!
Thankfully, at that time, the Legislature passed a law saying a bank could not charge you 2 fees, in the same month. I cut up the card, sent the pieces to them and told them to cancel my card! Of course they didn't and continued to charge me for being late each month, with my payment and even though I would have only owed them about $250, they had me owing way over $1,000, with all the fees they were charging me!
They turned me over to collection, but I wrote to the collection agency and told them the story, with copies of the letters I sent to that bank and told them I would not pay more than $250, if I paid at all. At the time, I wasn't making enough money, to even make arrangements, with any of the few credit cards I had, which I wouldn't be able to keep anyway.
No matter what it is, if President Obama & the Democrats are for it, the Republicans are against it. Their only goal is to prevent President Obama from obtaining a legacy, which will be remembered in years to come. What kind of legacy will the Republicans have, with all their obstruction and willingness to create a Government shut down, to try and get their way?
What kind of Republican Legacy will it be showing how willing they are to take away from their own constituents, what Democrats and President Obama had managed to get for them, despite Republican Obstructionism? What kind of Legacy, will the Republicans have when they were willing to Shut Down the Government, depriving their own constituents of millions of dollars, in lost wages and closed Government services such as National Parks? What kind of Legacy, will the Republicans have when they were willing to deprive their constituents of so much because of their unwillingness to work with President Obama, and the Democrats?
Seems they are doing so many polls all the time and what does that really do? It gives the media a chance to get a lot more viewers, since they are promoting all the dysfunction, in society, stirring the cauldron of hatred, bigotry, and racism in the world, encouraging the wackos, in their base to do terrorism. It's okay to be a homegrown “Christian Terrorist”, just watch out for those “Islamic Terrorists”!
What would they do, if “Mr Orange" accidentally was elected and saw things explode in front of their eyes. What will the media do, if they cause so many “Christian Terrorists” to act out, because somehow, it's okay, after all they are Christian.
“Mr Orange" has no experience working in the government. It's not like running a business, but then he knows how to get his expensive lawyers to take advantage of government loopholes, so he can file bankruptcy, then all the sub contractors, whom he owes money and whom hired people to work for them, giving them a job, now lose millions of dollars, so “Mr Orange" can walk away, cheating the sub-contractors and others out of millions of dollars and not costing him anything. He knows how to work the system, in his favor.
The media don't seem to want to report factual news anymore, only news, which stirs up hate, bigotry and racism, which encourages “Christian Terrorists”, in the United States, to act out and increase their viewership, thus increasing the money from their advertisers. Do their advertisers realize how much this will damage the United States and our reputation around the world? Do they want to see the United States drop down so far that 3rd world countries are considered kinder to their populations?
Many don't seem to realize there is a reason, to having government. How can you survive, if there are no rules and everyone does what they want to do, anytime they want to. People, like Cliven Bundy, want to complain about “big government”, but then he is relying on the government, just to exist.
He seems to appeal to the radical part of the citizenship, who hate everyone, except anyone who looks like them, thinks like them or are so-called Christians, like them. There are a lot of Christians in this country, but how many promote a loving, caring, accepting way of life? So many want to promote their version of Christianity, much like the terrorists, in the Middle East, want to promote their version of Islam.
With all the horrible things, which don't come out, about American soldiers and coalition partners torturing the Iraqi people and prisoners, is it a surprise they hate us? Most of us consider our soldiers as good people, when in reality, there are so many, who are cruel and don't care what they do to the Iraqi people.
Don't they stop to think they are representing the United States of America and by doing all these cruel things, it makes us look worse than ISIS, with all the cruelty they are inflicting on the Iraqi people and anyone, who does not get along with them. Our soldiers & coalition partners are supposed to represent good, not the evil they are supposedly protecting the Iraqi public from.
