They’re setting their sights on Hillary Clinton, vowing to tie her to the deal in hopes of pressuring her to oppose it. The Republicans figure it will be bad for her either way she votes.
Vote for it to please President Obama, even though it will tick off Israel and many of her voters & donors. Vote against it and tick off President Obama.
GOP leaders need 67 votes to override Obama’s expected veto and keep sanctions on Iran in place.
Senate Republicans are assuming Hillary will oppose the Iran Nuclear deal. According to Senate Republicans, Hillary was the one, who got the ball rolling, to work out a deal, with Iran, so they will stop working to make a nuclear weapon.
Why would Hillary oppose the outcome, when she is the one who got the ball rolling, in the first place. I love it, when Republicans try and predict what will happen, trying to embarrass Hillary, but what they are really doing, whether they know it or not, is getting Hillary's name out there even more.
“It could be a good policy strategy. It’s not going to be hard to come up with 34 Democrats to sustain a veto. The best chance of defeating it may be the inside embarrassment factor, getting Hillary Clinton or Chuck Schumer to walk into the Oval Office and tell the president we can’t sustain this,” said a senior Republican aide, referring to New York Sen. Charles Schumer, the Democratic leader-in-waiting.Their "good policy strategy", if Hillary votes for it, she pleases President Obama, but ticks off Israel & many of her donors & voters. If she opposes it, she ticks off President Obama, but pleases Israel, who strongly opposes trying to make any kind of deal, with Iran.
If it don't go through, it will embarrass President Obama, because he is counting on this as one of his legacies, when he leaves office.
If the deal goes through and we are able to work out a deal, with Iran, to control it's nuclear ambitions, How would that be a bad thing? If things got worse and we end up bombing Iran, as Republicans are hoping we will do, what would happen?
Do you think Iran will just sit there and take it? Would Republicans be surprised, if things got so much worse that we end up in a war with Iran? Does the United States need another conflict, in the Middle East , with so many more soldiers coming home in caskets, instead of into the arms of their families whom they love?
The Republicans are itching to start another war, even though they won't be the ones out on the front line, putting their lives in jeopardy. Why would they care, how many soldiers come home in caskets instead of safely into the arms of their loved ones.
